Draft your Risk/Vulnerability Assessment in a day!
This class is designed for small utilities. It also provides the basis for a vulnerability assessment for medium and large utilities seeking to use the J100 standard.
Make sure your water system is prepared to function in times of need. The National Water Sector Standard says to update your Vulnerability Assessment (VA) at least every 5 years, and is now required by a new law passed by congress in October 2018. All water systems serving more than 3,300 people were required to conduct a vulnerability assessment under the Bioterrorism Act of 2002. For systems serving fewer than 3,300– What do you do?
Attend this unique 8-hour workshop for small systems.
By developing the VA content during the workshop with a provided template and instructor guidance, you will take the important steps to keep your utility resilient. Experienced trainers will provide you with a better understanding of security and resiliency in any type of threat, whether natural or human-caused.
In the month following the workshop, you will have the opportunity for a VA review and consultation of up to 2 hours with your instructors.
You’ll be provided the tools to:
- Conduct a Vulnerability Assessment for your Water or Wastewater System.
- Understand how your system is affected by man-made, natural, or technological disasters.
- Gain a better understanding of resilience for surviving the impacts of such a disaster, critical incident, or emergency.
- View solutions used successfully by other water systems, such as the DIVVY for emergency water treatment and sustainable water supply.
$1,000.00/system (allows for 2 people per system/utility to attend)
This Training Workshop requires a minimum 10 participants to facilitate. Please contact us to inquire about currently scheduled trainings that may have openings available or to schedule your own training at your location.
